Thinking about a new MTB

I'm thinking about replacing my 8 year old Dawes mountain bike. My budget would be £800 max. I'm looking for a hardtail, size 650b, probably a 10 speed double chain set with 11-36 at the back.
The Merida bikes look to be quite highly spec'd for the price. Anybody with good reports about the Merida's?

Boardman. See if the sale is on. You could get a Hard Tail Pro for that.

I got the 2014 full suspension Pro for a grand rather than £1600.

You get a lot of kit on them.

Nothing wrong with a Merida or Boardman, so the Cube is unlikely to be any better, but you may - or may not - prefer the spec.

Boardman's are solid bikes too incidently .
But I like the look of the LTD Race

Boardmans are on sale again. Might have a bit of a hunt for the one you want as there was just one FS Pro in my area, be it the 2014 or 2016.

Strange - Merida's always looked over priced for the spec for me.
