Thanks both. I know waterproof is asking a lot (my current cover isn't totally waterproof as far as I can tell) - showerproof will do really; I'm not going to carry on cycling through a tropical storm without seeking shelter. Can always stick anything essential in a plastic bag inside the rucksack.
I quite like the 'Think Bike' message being displayed on the one I saw which is why it caught my eye. Current bag is a bit too small to be honest and starting to show its age on the seams so it's a good time to be looking while the old one still has a while left in it.
Next time I'll be going for an actual all-in-one rather than a bag with a clip on elasticated cover. I use the hi-vis cover every day even in summer so it wouldn't bother me not having the choice of removing it. I like the one with the light built in - that's another thing, as at the moment I have to clip and unclip a little red light on my raincover each day in the darker months.
