Thighmaster - adversely effecting knees?

Recently purchased one and started banging away on it, have noticed my (already dodgy) knees taking a sharp turn for the worse - would the thighmaster contribute? (I do have knee bother - I'm currently using perscribed orthotics to treat bursitis; I also recently crashed and had a decent sized lump on my outer knee). The area that is sore that wasn't overly sore before is the inner left side of right knee, below the kneecap.

Possibly.

I assume it's one of those things where you squeeze the legs together. Possibly ease off using it as you'll be rotating the knee.

I've knocked it on the head anyway, haven't done a tap on anything for a week and it's calming down a bit, quit the orthotics too - something wasn't right somewhere.
