My Shimano winter thermal Bib tights are getting a bit worn and I am looking for some decent quality thermal Bib Tights for winter commuting.

Sadly the Shimano model is no longer made.

I bought a pair of Funkier Thermal bibs last year and whilst acceptable they're not as good (warm) as the Shimanos and more suited to cool days rather than cold wet sub zero days in Northern England.

I've ummed and ahhh ed about these Sealskin Waterproof (note not the water resistant model) bibs

I've never yet been that impressed with sealskinz gloves (they've all leaked) so I was wondering if anyone here has tried these bib tights?

Or can recommend a wet subzero set of bib tights?

Don't sportful offer a no rain option? Looks like Sigma etc sell

Or Castelli nanoflex pro (e.g. Tredz but be wary of their alleged stock levels)

roubaix style tights won't ever be waterproof, but the might be slightly resistant, the beauty of them is they keep you warm. Mine are L Garneau ones and have been v good.

Which is a fair point, I don't actually mind being wet as long as I am warm. Warm and dry is a bonus.

The not so cheap decathlon ones i have have been pretty good - dont claim to be waterproof - but ive ridden in some pretty naughty rain in them without being wet or cold

I've got a heavier weight lycra set from Endura which have a waterproof panel in the front/inside shin area to keep the worst of the front wheel spray off. They're pretty good to about -5C in the dry. It's a long time since I've experienced both cold and wet.
