I notice on long multipage threads that i get a little blue bar with this warning on...which I often miss.

Am I missing posts if i don't click this...if so, can i turn it off and just see all posts by default?

You usually only get that if someone posts on a thread whilst you've been viewing it. Clicking on it should reload the page and display the additional posts.
