The WIND , Cycling hints to beat the elements

lots of advice on here so far and its been really helpful.

I live on anglesey and usually the wind is against you, which ever direction you are facing.

are there any strategies of things to have in your head to keep yourself going.

sometimes the coast wind can nearly stop you going down hill.

doesn't help living on an island, i dream of sunny non windy days.

On the days when there is no wind then I benefit from all the tough days in the saddle and fly along!

Ride on the drops (if you have a road bike) and don't wear baggy clothing (this doesn't mean you have to wear lycra).

I often try to ignore it, pretend it's not there. There's been times where I've got into a trance of daydreaming and completely ignored everything else then I snap out of it like "wtf..."
