Haven't seen a thread on this ride so thought I would start one.
Just back from Dulwich Paragon's Ride of the Falling Leaves (an echo of the Giro di Lombardia with added rain). It was the first time I have done it in a few years and it was good to see it was the great event of my memory, starting with an iconic lap of the Herne Hill Velodrome (I stay right down the bottom!) before heading up to Crystal Palace and numerous lumpy bits beyond. As usual it also lived up to its nickname of the ride of the falling rain, although to be fair this year it held off until the afternoon and then, just as I was about to leave the HQ at the end of the ride after some welcome pasta and a well earned pint of bitter, the sun came out. The elements were relatively kind because although there was a head wind on the way out we were positively blown back, and it meant that the rain was not in our faces.
Hats off to Dulwich Paragon for their organising prowess once more.
Were any others out and about in South London and beyond this Sunday?
