The Resting Places of Famous Riders

Some years ago I began to research the final resting places of firstly racing drivers and then motorcycle racers, often writing their memorials on the American website FindaGrave. These number many hundreds.

Here are some famous cyclists I've discovered and I wrote the memorial to Reg Harris this evening.

i didn't know reg harris was buried there. i'm in macclesfield and, as reg's mechanic built the wheels on my old claud butler fixed, i might take it over there to pay respects.

I know this is a subject not everyone would be comfortable with but a few years ago I realised that the whereabouts of our heroes of yesterday was becoming forgotten. I visited the graves of drivers such as Mike Hailwood, Alan Stacey and Piers Courage and wrote memorial pages for them.

If you could possibly photograph Reg's grave and forward it to me, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd attended over the years a couple of kit car events at nearby Capesthorne Hall and hadn't realised he was just up the road.
