The knee

Just got back from an evening appointment at the Hospital .Great news .No surgery needed.It's just old age wear and tear .But no more volunteering of any kind .So i have retired my painting tools my gardening skills and my lifting and handling expertise .Nothing but my own home from now on .And that only in short bursts and slowly .I can manage that .So happy knowing i don't have to go under the knife .

The ride is still on for late May or June .Train out of Leeds destination Scarborough then bike over to Bridlington through to Sledmere and on into York ,before turning it towards Leeds .Bring it on .

Thank you .It's amazing what the rest has done for the swelling .Dropping out of mums and toddlers on a Friday and dropping out of the sunday refreshment team .Gives the knee chance to recover from any d.i. y i do at home .It's great news and the cycling does it good .It's totally brilliant .If i had only understood i could have saved a lot of pain and discomfort and worry .
