The heli coil kit has landed.

I posted a thread about a stripped thread a few days ago on my old dura ace GS.
I was looking at pulling the trigger on a mint 7700 on eBay £199 ouch.

Anyway I purchase a helicoil kit on eBay £7 40 and hey presto I am a cycle mechanical guru.

We use them at work and they are brilliant bits of kit. There's a very satisfying feeling to be had fixing what originally looked...err, banjaxed.

well done - I think someone had already done the same thing to your rear mech in the past - hopefully this fix will last longer.
BTW you could have put any 'pre-11-speed' Dura Ace mech on such as the 7900 for £95

Its nice to have the old group set still in the groove, a bit like the old operator, will look at the 7900,thanks e rider.
