He's not living there are the moment. He demolished his farmhouse last year and its replacement is still being built.

Their formula was getting very tired on the Beeb. I hoped the extra budget from Amazon would inject some fresh energy but most of Series 1 was puerile nonsense. Maybe S2 will reign it in.

Meanwhile Top Gear improved once Evans left, buy Matt remains a terrible presenter - I assume he's there purely to ensure a US audience.

The grand tour and top gear have become boring and continue to use the same format.
Really hoped Amazon would allow Clarkson and co more creative licence.
Le Blanc and Chris Harris are great,but the rest should be locked up in the abandoned 747 on the test track.

Would love to see an actual car programme, with cars that cost under £60k

the thing about Clarkson is, non of us know what he is really like or his real views , all we see is a public persona he has developed to make money ,think of him as an actor in a soap or such like , we just get to see the mega mouth character he has developed to make him rich, well that's what I think anyway

I watched the first ten mins of the first episode of the first series and found it to be some of the most self-indulgent, boring tripe that I've ever had the misfortune of watching. People will say 'oh, but it was meant to be' - I'd rather lick piss off a nettle than watch any more of it.

Shame, because I really liked Top Gear - less the car reviews, and more the travelogue ones.

At the junction I looked behind me and saw Jeremy Clarkson just pulling up behind me with his head and arm out of the window, holding his phone and shouting ‘gotcha’ and looking well smug with himself. He was driving, and there was nobody else in the car. I got off my bike and pushed it back to his car and pointed out that he was overtaking me going in to a hazard, and made me change course. He just kept shouting increduously ‘you were four feet from the kerb, but you were four feet from the kerb, I’m a cyclist and you were four feet from the kerb!’.
