Same as all tyres, the thread wears thin and is easier to penetrate.I've found the Pro4 SC' pretty bomb proof up to a distance, then they p'ture every 2nd ride after that![]()
Gonna say it again, I've never had a puncture on my 2011 bought road bike.
Tubeless is the future. Downsides a bit of a faff and expensive running costs plus you should run a tubeless compatible wheel
Oh I don't know at 7.30am in the pishing rain having puncture on the way to work is quite a downside to tubes, that and having a blowout at 20mph+ in fast right hander. The latter was my reason to move over to tubeless. TBH.TBH, those are some pretty big downsides.
Conti ultra sports are carp with regard to p*nctures especially when wet.
True ... Slippery when wet ....seems fishy to me
I couldn't say 100% but I think the last set were put since LBL (mid April 2015) and they were changed February 2016, that'd be 6,725 miles no wonder they started p'turing every ride (I had summer wheels, changed to winter wheels and change back and although the tyres were on both wheels I doubt they were on the full 6,725 miles but still most of itShare that 'a distance' if you please. I have just bought a pair.
