Im deliberating on what to ask the portly fellow for and was thinking about a Garmin 305 (watch version)

My question is threefold .....

Does anyone own one

Can i use it for cycling right out of the box ....i.e will the training partner work or will i also have to buy the cycling add on for another 30-odd quid

Is there much difference between the 205 and the 305
