Hi everyone,
From the 18[sup]th[/sup] to the 22[sup]nd[/sup] of May 2011 St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh will run its first ever Celtic Challenge, a stunning 5 day cycle through some of Scotland’s most beautiful landscapes.
Supported by Robert Wiseman Dairies the Celtic Challenge will see participants cross 200 miles of scenic countryside from the start line in Edinburgh to the small but historically important island of Iona. Along the way the challenge will take in Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Crainlarich, Oban and the Isle of Mull, and much more besides, making it a trip to remember.
The challenge is in aid of St Columba’s Hospice rebuild project, aiming to build a new home for St Columba’s by 2014. The Hospice has been providing care and support to terminally ill patients, their families and their friends since 1977.
The registration fee for the challenge is £150 and includes all accommodation, meals and support. St Columba’s Hospice also asks that all participants raise a further £1,050 in sponsorship to help the hospice rebuild its facilities. The Fundraising Team at the hospice is here to help you reach that target so don’t hesitate to contact us for advice and support. You will find that people are very generous when donating towards such a good cause.
Places are limited to make the cycle as special as possible so if you are interested, or have any questions or comments, please contact me on mbauld@stcolumbashospice.org.uk or call 0131 551 7707.
For more information visit the Celtic Challenge Facebook page or follow this link and like us! http://tiny.cc/CelticChallengeFacebook
Thanks for reading and if you have any comments just post them below and I’ll get back to you.
Kind Regards,
Michael
