It started slowly slowly in the hands: just gloves.

It then spread rapidly across the body with bib tights.

The feet went next with overshoes.

The jacket confirmed it was in an advanced stage.

What will happen when winter turns to spring?

The treatment could be expensive.

I have Rapha (the soft shell jacket) and Assos (bibs, f1 mille I think they're called). Both are top bits of kit but haven't tempted me to buy anything else of the same label. I hope I judge each bit of kit on its own merit rather than the label.

In fact, the most same brand kit I have is CycleChat!

Crikey, you deserve to be in the new year's honours list! For services to the Swiss economy. The glove set alone costs more than the GDP of some nations.

Did you have any problems with the zip tabs? I wore mine three times before both of the tabs broke off

I have e-mail the supplier to request replacement overshoes, and await their reply.

I almost caught the bug when I was asked what I'd like for Christmas and selected some Assos socks but by the time they got round to ordering them they were out of stock and I got cheaper Polaris Merino socks instead. Have I got the Merino bug ?

you're not kidding! but the wife did say as i cycle to work every day i'd be better buying them, did't need telling twice

Hopefully the replacement pair will last much much longer - very strange that both broke off after just the 3 rides Overshoes without zip tabs are not much use at all.
