I'm not on Stava either, but the same should really be true of any form of cheating but you can at least follow the logic if there's some tangible reward. Cheating just to feel superior really smacks of a loss of perspective. On the quiet I take my riding quite seriously, but only for my own interest and satisfaction.
I think you fail the cheating git test then but if it's any consolation, I don't take you seriously.

Cheating in competition aside, I had to laugh at this guy in the Guardian article -

A man in his 40s called Graham was cycling up a mountain in Mallorca this spring when he heard a strange whirring noise. It became immediately clear what it was when another rider breezed past, apparently without much effort. She had a tiny, performance-enhancing motor hidden in the frame of her bike. “I was livid!” Graham recalls. “She might as well have been riding a moped.”

He was livid! WTF did it have to do with him that another rider was using motor assist? They weren't racing. I'd love to do it to him myself, only this time with my feet on the handlebars and a cigarette in my mouth.
I'd come with you and do it on my trike smoking a 'spliff'. :becool: :cycle:

And he finds out next month what will happen as regards the court case. Which might explain why he's gone to ground.

A cycling acquaintance once told me the story of how he was riding up Ventoux just past the Tom Simpson memorial when a car with Belgian plates rolls up. Out gets a rotund Fleming in full national kit. He takes his bike from the back, poses with it in front of the memorial while his wife takes a photo, loads the bike back into the car and drives off. Now that is cheating with style.

Rather alarming that an 18 year old amateur time trialist was using EPO. Apart from cheating in a very low level branch of the sport, the drug itself can be extremely dangerous unless administered properly.
Such a shame that as i raced on the same 10 as him and his team mate for my first 10 . They where both seriously fast and i remember thinking that i was proud to be British with talent like that in the sport .
His team mate was there at tonights 10 and won the event .
