15 miles done today! in horrible drizzly rain and that god awful wind. i felt like i was getting nowhere at times, so strength sapping. also first time out with others (my daughter and her friend) my goodness my youngest daughter is fitter than she looks and her bike weighs loads more than mine (and i had the panniers on with all the kit etc) we had 3 pub stops , maybe excessive on the distance but wth and my other daughter owns the last one so we had to stop there lol  from now on tuesdays and thursdays are our regular group cycling days , good bye flabby bits and hello healthy bits

Yep, rode into town and back, 8-and-a-bit miles and it was murder coming home with the headwind.

Easier getting there though lol

Really looking forward to my 12.5 mile commute into a SW 28 mph head wind gusting WSW at 41 mph with light to moderate showers forcast for knocking off time.

Oh joy !

Just done a wind topic in commuting , 10 miles into that head wind mainly in hill climbing gear( 34x 19) as it was that rough , got blown right onto the other side of the road on an exposed section.

The rare backwind DOES exist, but I am not talking about the much more common lesser trump!

It was like bleedin' Raiders of the lost Ark this morning- dodging bits of tree, twigs & rubbish flying around! The only good thing was the total lack of dog walkers to dodge- wind was an 'effin nightmare! maybe it was the dregs of Hurricane Irene?

Tail wind this morning on the way to work, getting blown down descents on the fixed was rather interesting. Head wind on the way home tonight turned it into a slog.

Been out myself today in quite stiff breeze, whichever direction you head that wind always appears to be against you. Adds to the workout though.
