with the pull out cycle carrier...And the rather fit bird:blush: Why are the cranks on the wrong (left hand) side of the bike?

I don't think I have ever seen a bike with cranks on the left of the frame, is it a mock up, made that way because it somehow looks better for the camera with the bike orientated with the front end facing left?

When the female is cycling up the hill you can't see the bike, so not possible to say if it is the same bike that she loads onto the cars intergrated rack (clever editing)!!

There was a thread on here a while back about why cranks are generally on the right hand side of the frame, and not the left. Is this bike an exception?

I must admit, I wasn't looking at the cranks.

Registrations on cars in ads are made up of U,V,O and so on, so that they can be flipped for right/left hand driving countries and still read the same. Could this be something to do with that? (I know the ad, but can't visualise which side the car is on. And I'm not even sure if that would explain it...)

The picture will have been inverted somehow....

(BTW, all bikes have cranks on both sides, what you mean is the drivetrain...)

Damn, definitely looks like the drivetrain's on the wrong side! strange!

She is hot though, looks like Nadia from the first American Pie movie, the one that really fancies geeks...

Damned clever those Vauxhall chaps! I don't think I would like to clamp my carbon framed P&J into that contraption though, looks a little bit 'unsafe' somehow. I believe that the carrier comes as an optional extra at £300, and that if you have it fitted you sacrifice the spare wheel holder from the underside of the car, which means having a spacer saver spare in the boot.

Her climbing technique is shocking ...... I'd have to follow her issuing advice !

Yes, but I think we can forgive her on the grounds that she makes up for it in her 'presence'.;)
