Some real 'bargains' to be had on BSOs. For e.g. how about the Vertigo Nordend 26" Mens Dual Suspension Bike. Instead of the usual price of... £180 you can get it for half price! sigh.

There are still a majority of the population that know nothing about bikes, and whilst these supermarket outlets continue to sell cheap rubbish, the great unwashed will shell out for these BSO's and wonder why cycling is not fun after all.

My point that you fail to recognise is that the supermarkets sell this cheap rubbish that fails to satisfy people, as the people's comments who bought this loosely based bike point out. Those who are tempted to buy these cheapo bikes get what they deserve, instead of going to a bike shop, and not necessarily a LBS but Halfords and Evans where advice will be given on what to buy and get the bike set up correctly so that it works and bits will not fall off within a few miles.

I buy my loo roll and tea bags from Tesco, if I want a bike I go to a bike shop
