hi, i'm suffering from really bad chafing. its located right at the top inside part of my right leg and is agony. i have a spot about the size of a pea and another smaller one beside it which fills with blood, looks black and is very sore and red around it. It dies right down if I ride less but then come back with a vengeance if on my bike for more than 15 miles a day. i have a longish commute to work (28 miles) and its agony after 15 miles. ive tried new shorts, not wearing underwear, wearing underwear, sudocrem, utterly rudderly etc...all sorts...changed seat, adjusted the seat etc but it comes back if I do a big cycle. I'm not new to cycling but need any advice you have!

I think you actually WOULD do better to stop cycling for a bit in order to let it heal, and use that time to work out why it's chafing so much. If you don't let it heal, it's gonna keep coming back or get worse. If it looks black, get it seen by your doctor.

Especially the doctor part if anything is turning black.

A skin coloured pea size lump would suggest a standard saddle sore. I keep them at bay by using fresh shorts and showering thoroughly after every ride and I also whack a bit of savlon down there after rides regardless now.
It could be your saddle, your shorts, or your position, but continuing to ride before you give it chance to properly heal will generally only make it worse.

Certainly if it's a small patch/bump, this would lead to thoughts of a saddle sore - you may need anti-biotics so ask the GP.

General areas of redness can be treated with savlon, sudacrem or more serious, hydrocortisone 1% cream. Had a bad patch of it now since February. I'm aware of the cause, but cycling twice a day makes it worse, but I'm not about to stop. I'm keeping it under control with hydrocortisone and sudacrem. I think its probably eczema !

Yours sounds like a saddle sore/boil - the black is probably dried blood. To the GP
