Can you report on wear and tear?
And to how many done miles does that correspond?
The joe has a little bar under the chainset that seems to protect the gears when the bike is folded.
Does anyone know if this piece is available on it's own?
How is it attached to the bike?
I would like to have such a thing on the smaller Terns too...
I don't ride it all that often, so it's in extremely good shape. Maybe less that 200 miles or so.
Now, when you see the photo of my Tern Joe P24 folded, you'll notice the bike's chainrings aren't touching the floor. That's the frame/chainring protector keeping them safe from damage. Only lower end, or ill thought out, folding bikes don't come equipped with this, unless they provide a different means to keep the bike off of the chainring when folded. Dahon uses the seatpost for this, including the "Landing Gear" attachment, which has wheels for rolling when folded. And on my P24 it's welded to the underside of the bottom bracket.
