Terminal Boredom!

I'm at a standards meeting for mobile device manufacturers (terminals - geddit?) (saving grace is that it's in Vienna) but lordy are my industry peers ever the most boring, analy retentive and humourless people on the face of the earth!

Considering that we all work at the shiny end of consumer electronics and should by rights be dynamic and exciting and excited by what we do - I'm obviously a bit of a black sheep here.

Any one else find their colleagues mindnumbingly boring - or is it just me being feckless and juvenile and not giving the occasion the sense of gravity ot deserves lol

It's a standards meeting. Doesn't matter what the industry is, anyone who gets their jollies from defining standards is just not going to be very jolly.
