I'm having an front implant done, whilst the jaw heals from the extraction I have to wear a temporary denture, I have been advised to keep it whilst cycling in to prevent my other teeth being damaged.

I have done a load of medium distance 30-40 mile riding since it was fitted and I can ride and drink no problem, the issue is that I can't chew anything, I have to take it out to eat.

On longer 50+ rides I would normally take some food, but I as I can't chew with my denture in and don't have a support car with steradent in ;)

What options do I have, I thought gels but I hate them already. I generally have the 2 750ml bottles filled with water/high 5 for hydration.

Just wondered if anyone had any better ideas?

Boiled Sweets you can suck? Ripe bananas are soft and easy to pull apart. Bassett Jelly babies torn in half (rip their heads off), they are soft, push to back of mouth to chew, no need to bite

Choc milkshake? Sponge cake can be broken up and chewed too

The problem is even concentrating I can't chew stuff correctly and I end up sort of choking it down.

I guess gels it is.

Choc milkshake is for after the ride, gotta have it waiting in the fridge! ;)

scrambled eggs? OK they would have to be cold but you would get some protein in.
pre-chopped small pieces of banana, or pureed bananas - don't need chewing.
homemade smoothies are another option (yoghurt/milk, ground nuts, ground oats, fruit of choice, sugar/honey/no sweetener) would provide plenty of energy in fast & slow release forms...

You need a drip, no I didn't say that you are a drip. I have seen patience walking around dragging a whealy thing that is plugged in their arm. I mean how difficult would it be to liquidize your "some food" and attach a tube directly to your stomach from a bottle suspended above your left ear bypassing the chewing completely, I mean how serious a cyclist are you?

What do you put into your drinks - energy powder or those zero tablets? The tablets are great, but not for providing fuel! Energy powder may be a solution

Buy maltodextrin from Myprotein and mix that with your water, it will give you all the energy you need. More palatable forms of the same thing are Cup a Soup, Complan and Build Up for convalescents, though nowadays there are loads of "milk shake" type recovery drinks based on MD and whey protein. The only problem is that, as we used to find when we rode Polaris events, you can keep yourself fuelled in this way for a seven hour event but by the end you're starving.
