43 is not an age where you expect to hear of someone passing away, by all accounts he was a very pleasant man as well as being very good at his job. My condolences to his fmily and friends!!

Something very similar killed my mum, so I can sympathise. Terrible way for somebody to die.

That's Sad news indeed, only 43 RIP Txema. Too late now if they've already withdrawn, but I think they should have stayed in for today ride and the peleton should have gave Sky a ceremonial win.

Yes, i read this last night. A very sad story for such a young man. I agree that Sky have had a challenging Vuelta and I am not surprised they have pulled out.
