Funny enough, about a week before the Giro started in NI I was queuing at a roundabout in Haverfordwest (Pembs) when I notice a large yellow car beside me. Looking across it turned out to be one of the Mavic neutral service cars, fully liveried and obviously LH drive with French plates. No bikes or wheels on the roof alas, but they must have been on their way to the ferry at Fishguard to get across the Irish sea. Not the shortest driving route heading for the Republic instead of the six counties direct, but I suppose the quickest as the journey port to port across England is nearly all motorway.
