I just did it again, improved by 24 seconds, inspired by Adam(2). it makes the gap to Adam(1) seem more respectable.

So Bill a plan well executed, I wake up 2nd in the league 2.30 minutes down with only hours remaining. My best weather window to get up the hills on my MTB is 9am-1pm and I won't have the legs after that ride. I may have to change my plans and risk a soaking! Hats of Bill - who knew Bkool could be so tactical.

Well it was fun while it lasted but looks like you've bested me. I have no answer to your times on Buncombe and Harriers and would never be able to improve my times by the 3 mins I'd need.
Very well done on your deserved victory. I hope I managed to make it that little bit more difficult, especially at the end. We both had a bad run, but the rest I think we did our best. I know I did, especially yesterday, which to be honest was way tougher for me than a typical goats run when I don't generally collapse when I get off my bike.

Thanks Bill, It was certainly my best this morning I wasn't sure what was required so just went for it. I almost collapsed after Harriers. A good end to a months riding with some significant improvement from both of us. "It doesn't get easier just faster"

I almost collapsed after Harriers.

Pretty much how I feel every time I go up the damn thing!

A good end to a months riding with some significant improvement from both of us.

Very edifying to see the imminent end of the league doing wonders for motivation all round. Thank God I didn't listen to my wife and buy a cheap second hand turbo...

Although I would have spent "slightly" less money if I had!

Thanks for organising it Geoff. I've not been able to motivate myself like this before old turbo training makes me sad. I think we'll all come out of winter stronger.

I only went on the turbo this morning to do a gentle ride as I have a muscle twing in gluteus maximus. It never quite works out as gentle. The first ride was a good workout and warm up, Harriers was just me against me, I was going to do a third ride but the workmen turned up to finish off a gate installation.

I won't be on at 5pm, the rugby will be on, would be nice to see Wales stuff France, although the match tomorrow is the one I'm looking forward to, teacht ar Éirinn.

Just browsing through Bkool live and noticed this beast Puerto Bejar - La Covatilla
Took a screen shot of matey, look at that for a start of a 33.6 miler, don't know what unit he's using but 1-2 mph so that 43% has to hurt.
Thursday ride Geoff
