it took me 9:29 in the real world today, 8.2% slower compared to 8:47 last night on the KICKR and the PowerTap averaged 245 Watts for the 8.2% slower time, 10% less than the 271 Watts on the KICKR last night.

P.S. I put the average gradient, average speed (7.5 mph and 8.1 mph) along with my weight details, etc. into the Power calculator http://www.gribble.org/cycling/power_v_speed.html and got just about perfect matches of power and average speed for both the outdoor session with the PowerTap and the indoor session with the KICKR, so I would say the power figures for both are pretty close to what they should be.

I would need to find 2 minutes on Merry Harriers to challenge Adam for 3rd in the league standings. As that isn't going to happen, close the league after the re-run. I'll redo Merry Harriers on my own time to satisfy my own ego with any improvement.

You'll just have to whup me in the next league Kipster. Anything under 7% incline and you decimate me. You, Bill and Geoff were in a different league to me in that Velodrome.

LOL do you think you're getting away with that?

Distance Total time In motion
Total 8.1mi 53:02 49:35

Which I make to be right up there with my best ever time
Why does it do that? I thought it was under 50 but then I saw 53 on bkool. Does it include the warm up?

Hey Bill, did you do the Merry Harriers session in the end? Is that 6:41.6 the one to beat?

Yup! That was the plan for tonight and see if I could catch up with Elite Adam in the league. Looks like he can beat that time by nearly a minute so that time will likely be destroyed. The end result of the league is however, still unknown ;)

3D ride movie clips would of course be better. Geoffs probably tried it already :addict:

Actually, I did.

You can get programs that record the active program or whole screen to a movie clip (such as CamStudio).

It kind of worked, but gets too big to do much with fairly quickly as it is not well compressed like an mp4 movie. In the end it was quicker to just record on the iphone.

The fact that I run at 4K ultra high resolution wouldn't help, and I've just got hold of a new GTX 960 graphics card with the latest HDMI 2.0 output to run 4K at 60Hz, so it will be even bigger!

I may try again some time, as a screen captured movie straight from the 3D simulation would be a lot cleaner. If you then edited the highlights, it could be cool. Also useful for capturing those little glitches ...

P.S. The Bkool web site just seemed to crash on me, as I was finishing off the next league. Looks like it's back already.

Might have a good nights sleep, and see if I can make a dent in that time of yours. Won't affect my league position....but love a challenge.

So Bill a plan well executed, I wake up 2nd in the league 2.30 minutes down with only hours remaining. My best weather window to get up the hills on my MTB is 9am-1pm and I won't have the legs after that ride. I may have to change my plans and risk a soaking! Hats of Bill - who knew Bkool could be so tactical.
