Swapping a rear cassette over between wheels?

Hey,

So tomorrow I've got some new wheels coming (Hand built by Spa Cycles, first really big purchase for my bike so quite excited!), and I've just realised I've got to change the cassette over. I've never done it so I'm a bit worried about doing it - is it easy? I've got tools but no idea how to use them

Presume it's just a nut then it slides off?

Its very easy, you'll probably find some youtube 'how to' vid; your lockring might be stiff it has been on there a while.

It's pretty easy if you have the right tools: A sprocket remover and a chain whip.

5 minute job, fingers crossed you will not even have to tweak your rear mech .

Now to do battle I've got YouTube up - will report back with how many fingers i've broken and spoke i've snapped....

Edit: Need 2 new inner tubes, both punctured and I don't have any patches. Damn it!

Depending on the state of your cassette - you'll also need degreaser/oil remover for your hands if nothing else!

I need new tubes anyway so I've put the old wheels (without tyres!) back on.

I also broke a tyre lever as well, bloody Marathon+!
