Sunrace cassettes?

Am looking for a 9 speed cassette

Have pretty much always used Shimano.

Anyone got any views on Sunrace?

Have never used a thing by them.

Have heard of them but don't know a thing about them and their reputation.

I have Sunrace cassettes on two bikes, one 7speed and one 8speed.

They do the job fine.

are the cassettes heavy?
(being kinda old fashioned I'd be inclined to see that as an advantage).

The ones I have dont seem noticeably different from any other budget cassettes.

I like the 7 speed because it is made up of separate gear wheels and spacers, and I could, in theory just replace the worn wheels instead of the whole thing.

The cassettes are quite competitive on weight ! They don't just do budget cassettes - come are pretty fancy.

Like the OP I have always used Shimano cassettes for my 9sp drivetrain. The slight premium one might pay is worth it in assurance terms, imo. How about a link to a 9 speed Sunrace cassette you think is 'fancy' @fossyant ?
