Honking around the woods with the hounds as randomly 3 hrs after my run yesterday my big toe started really hurting me 🤷‍♂️

Need to pack for next week as away with work and then off on holiday, so clothes and bike need attention.

Car needs cleaning and wood needs cutting and sport needs watching at the pub

French onion soup, beef short rib & sticky toffee pudding. Plus wine, lots and lots of wine.
My guts haven’t woken up but the bloody dog has!
Everyone else Barr the dog is asleep so I’m tidying up with a brew.

An ok night's sleep, bar occasional leg cramps causing some swearing, mayhap consequence of doing harder (for me currently) work outside, did feel crackered yesterday afternoon. And still some sunshiiine even with scattered clouds while I enjoy 100% pure Colombian #1.

Today's agenda? Tbd. Though may at some point be watching some guys on bikes doing something or other.

First evening bbq of thr year yesterday. Proper lumpwood charcoal always adds something to a meal (often carbon), but despite a mixture of wine and beer vanishing down the hatch, food was cooked to the right colour, the chicken wasn't dry, and no human was injured during the making of this meal.

Successful family time together as the sun went down; an especially welcome break for Child #2, otherwise busy with GCSE revision.

Some logs went on the embers and flamed-up to light the patio rather than resorted to harsh LED lighting, and then i demonstrated more of my magic (making alcohol disappear) until suddenly, the trampoline seemed a very good idea! Blimey, utterly exhausting.

Once the burning logs had reduced down to embers, the marshmallows and toasting forks came out. Absolutely splendid.

Today: mowing

I can vouch for marshmallows!
And also have scrapped Charcoal in favour or wood burning BBQs in Italy. Much nicer.

Bright start. Sat outside in the sunshine and had my coffee. Cool Westerly. Rain much appreciated: fires south of Kilwinning, in Arran and in Glentrool. Hopefully under control/dampened down now.

Chores then some stuff.

Morning
Feeling weary this morning after yesterdays 92 miles on the bike. Just had crumpets and coffee but doesn’t seem to have kick started me in to action. More coffe maybe.

Morning People,

Short hound walk this morning then off round NW Kentshire at lunchtime before it starts raining. Not much else planned after that.
