Rubbish night's sleep cos of brain & ticker having one of their regular disagreements (it seems), so not much happening this morning, maybe a bit of a fiddle in the garden to try to suppress couch grass with membrane. Afternoon, might pootle on the Moustache over towards Châtillon-en-Diois with the drone for some shots of the vineyards and cabanons under the azure sky. At least yesterdays vicious southerly wind has stopped.

Ride on the cards here as well. Probably of the medium length variety, with hills chucked in as we've agreed to punish ourselves today. Chilling with the hounds a coffee for now. May watch the footy later on.

Slow start as mucho red wine and beer last night at friends house. Meeting offspring and various hangers on for a walk in the park and then afternoon tea
Looks fairly bright out there.

Speaking of red we had a nice Amarone last night, from Aldi of all places.
I can’t remember if it was £11 or £16 as I was looking at other stuff and forgot which was which but if I’m making an effort with the food then surely the same effort goes into the accompaniment!

Fillet steak with chilli and garlic jumbo prawns for anyone interested.

Just finished a large breakfast at the hotel. Not sure what’s happening next as it’s Mrs W choice which is only fair given it’s her 40th wedding anniversary 😉

Nice ride up to the lighthouse - legs tired now as not really a cyclist anymore (30% of miles riden have happened this week 🙄)

Going for a gentle run in a minute before more ale

Afternoon folks and happy Easter to those that celebrate it.
slow start was enjoyed followed by giving the lads bike a bit of the love it deserves. Out for lunch with the old dear shortly which will probably be followed by a very slow walk.

Think we may have finished the summer dry season... been a few days with some light (welcome) rain lately. Looks like I finished cleaning the gutters just in time. Least fun job of the last 5 years for sure.

Some shed riding, some walking here and there.

Spent a couple hours sifting through the parts boxes this morning while it was raining and realised I have a lot of stuff that doesn't fit anything I own any more. Weirdly, I have tyres and tubes in 27.5" size... and I've never had a bike with that size wheels. I think I have a rear rim to build one, but never got the hub to match. Will I ever?

Picked up a load of material yesterday to get started back on the DIY stuff round here, but elected to leave it for another day. Mood.

Hilly ride. Rough rods. Evil easterly. Cold left ear. Clouded over 5 miles in and then the sun finally popped out once I got home. Feel robbed. Showered, shaved, stretched, put laundry on, made a sandwich to end all sandwiches*, now triping this and will snooze.

*Granary bread, cured ham, mature cheddar, cucumber, red onion, pickled beetroot, iceberg plus mayo. Magic.
