I have no idea about the route, or even the event, but I used to live on the Suffolk coast (Leiston), and though compared to say Yorkshire it could be considered flat, there are plenty of hills to stretch your lungs.

I will have to have a look at that one, could be a good ride for me.

Depends which part of Yorkshire. Western part of Yorkshire is hilly, the central & eastern part is pancake flat.

My knowledge of Yorkshire is the view from the AI Great North Road (as it used to be), or gleaned from locations in TV drama's such as Summer Wine, All Creatures Great and Small and the suchlike!

Hold on, aren't you the Madpensioner I saw on the Norwich 100

If you managed that then the Suffolk Coast 60 will be a piece of the proverbial

I did it this year, it's a nice route, no actual "hills", just a rough path to walk across the river at Southwold/Walberswick, oh and the rough arse track coming out of the Glemham Hall start/finish.

yes i was the one - i did the norwich 100 thinking it was all flat only to find hills on the coast - where i come from the coast is flat and all the hills are inland - however ive just obtained a new Trek 2000 - and i am finding hill climbing easier - i will also be entering the norwich 100 again - we must have a pint together at both the events

You've made my day confirming that there are hills in Norfolk. Living here, I do most of my cycling in Norfolk and all I ever get from people outside of the county is....it's pan flat in Norfolk so cycling must be dead easy. Try the hill just up from the station in Weybourne and tell me it's flat!

Pint sounds good, whenever I do these sort of rides I usually get my head down and get on with it, and then look on enviously at people having a pint at the pubs

We did stop at the Harbour pub in Southwold tho', ideal halfway point
