Just the other day the two lower gears in this hub gear "disappeared". I select where the gears should be but nothing; I can pedal forward as usual but there is no propulsion; 3rd, 4th and 5th gears are fine. There was no noise from the hub, one journey all ok, next , this problem. All is still smooth. Cable pull seems fine. I've taken out the hub internals thinking that a pawl spring might be broken but all appear to me to be good and working fine and everything looks okay as far as I can tell. I put it all back together but the problem is still there as before. Selector key problem? Old technical information for a five speed sprinter hub shows a gear selector key with two chevron shaped ends. The said key on my hub has only one such end. It doesn't look like there has been anything sheared off. The selector key moves smoothly in its housing. The hub is about five years old and until now has been fine. Any ideas as to what might be the problem, and remedy. Thanks.
