I need to replace the gear cable for the 1965 SA 3 speed AW fitted to my tandem. It appears that the current cable is a Shimano type filled to fit. Is this ok? Many thanks for looking Bill.

It's a hand towel, I was trying to get the camera to focus on the nipple.
