So I bought New mavic pedals
DSC_0122.jpg

And they came with these cleats. The problem is my right ankle rolls over so I need to slide the cleat inwards on the shoe to stop it. These cleats don't let me do it!

Well I bought mavic cleats where I can see they allow you to slide to the side. But they didn't click into the pedals! Arrrr

Never seen anything like this, surely theres some way of lateral adjustment..........is it on the pedal itself?

Not after float movement, I need to move the position of the cleat on my shoe. My right ankle/foot is very special. I’m really annoyed because I committed £65 on these pedals and now I’m stuck. I don’t know what to do.

Apparently this distance is called the Q factor. If I swap the cleats around it increase's the Q factor. Although this is not enough, with this change and repositioning the cleat so that my foot turns outward slightly it seems to have released some of the pressure I get on the outside of my foot. I will not know if this has worked until I do a 50m or so ride. I’m also going to incorporate some stretching to see if my flexibility has contributed to the issue.

file a slot in the cleats
considering the second pair of cleats you bought didn't fit the pedal are they not standard clipless look pedals?
Cheers Ed

I don’t know, they said there were 2014 Mavic cleats. I presumed because I bought 2014 Mavic pedals then 2014 cleats would fit.
Anyway, I did notice that it had 2011 on the box, I emailed chainreaction for a explanation.

Heres the response, not so bad. In the previous email they said send it back, but thats a effort filling out a form, going to the post office and sending it back.

I've got two pairs of new cleats now that don't fit, I told them the pedal I have and they have sent what looks exactly the same as before! Think I will put them on eBay!
