The good thing is that most food tastes wonderful when ravenous.

So whilst ultra fresh bread with jam or marmalade are brilliant what other simple quick foods are good for calorie rush?

Trevor's scones, freshly baked at Puddleducks cafe in Dunsop Bridge, the geographical centre of the UK. With about half and inch of butter and a teaspoon of strawberry jam. Heaven.

I'll be there tomorrow.

My first 30 miler I ate ham and cheese on wholegrain bread, 3 slices of sweet (Soreen(?)) banana bread, chocolate biscuit and an apple ;p

On the recent forum ride Off for a Jodd, when we reached the cafe stop I opted for a full English washed down with a coffee and a Coke while the others were faffing about with cakes. I then had a cake and washed that down with another Coke and I have to admit I felt really great for the rest of the ride and then riding to work almost straight afterwards.
