No, not seatpost - saddle. We can move the seatpost easily in the frame, but the saddle is wedged firmly onto the seatpost.
It's a suspension seatpost with a two-bolt adjustment mechanism. Even taking both bolts fully out doesn't seem to do anything - the clamps are firmly wedged in place. Is the best thing to do simply to hit it firmly?
In the grand scheme of things, having to fit a new seatpost and saddle won't matter much, but it would be nice not to need to.
