Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Having picked up a Benotto frame today with carbon components the seller let me know the seatpost was stuck - after I'd paid. Not that I'm too concerned as it's a project and does fit me at this height.

It's a Kuota carbon one and I'm wondering how I shift it.

Any suggestions please?

I'd try to soak the post out with wd40 or plus gas for a few days, then try force/vice to remove it. If that won't budge it, heat will. The post will be knackered either way.

Soak it from the top with the bolt out and from the bb area downwards.

I am guessing there is a size difference and the seat post was forced in to begin with.
So I would say the seat post is toast.
Take off the saddle and grease up the post then give it a sharp whack on the top protect it with a piece of wood.
See if there is any movement, if not and assuming the steel frame is rusted inside run in some easing fluid and leave overnight.
Try again.
The sharp whack may loosen the grip the rust has as might the plus gas or whatever you use.

Question a body builders sexuality. Challenge him to prove his manliness by removing the post.

Be prepared to Laugh when it turns out said body builder can bench 300lbs but cant papply his muscle to real world tasks..

Ordinarily, I would suggest applying heat, but putting a blow-torch anywhere near pretty bike paint is only going to end in tears.
