Stuck cable on ultegra shifter

My cable "bulb" has gotten stuck out of sight in the shifter body

The 10 speed shifter now only "clicks" twice so it's not moving the bulb of the cable back round for me to remove and replace it

Any suggestions. I know not to disassemble it but am stuck

WD40 and wriggle it with a pair of pliers from the cable end whilst moving between the 2 clicks. A lot of patience might be required !
