sorry if this a repeat query, did have a look for previous reads. Can you fab guys and girls explain a few things for the hard of learning please.?
Looking at the segment profile speed and %. Is the % relating to incline
Am running it on my iPhone, can I upload to iPad or will it just store daily ride on phone

Hope that makes sense, Tia

It stores all your data online (or "in the cloud" if you prefer). Nothing is stored on your phone, except rides you haven't uploaded yet - and some cached data. If you were to lose your phone, and get a new one, Strava would look the same once you had connected to your account.

To see it, go to strava.com and log in with the same email/password you use in the app.

Yes, % is the average climb (or descent) over a segment.

Thanks for that, will give it a week or so, and see if I can get some sense out of it when I have a few rides.

Very disappointed that these mountains I have been cycling up any seem to be comming up as slopes

The percentages are averaged, over the climb. The climb can get quite severe in places, the average % can look a lot lower. Strava also uses the same categories of climb, that the UCI use for the Tour De France etc. If you see a little white number in a red dot, next to a climb, that's the 'category' of the climb, from cat 4, right up to HC.
