Hi
I have a Specialized Sirrus Sport 2010 (8 speed). The bike is two months old, front and rear gears shift smoothly.
When I ride with the front middle and the rear 1 to 4 (the largest 4) sprockets, the bike behaves normally. However, in gear 5, I get this tiny vibrating sensation through the cranks every pedalling rotation.
I have reseatted the rear wheel to make sure it's true. I also checked that the chain is not rubbing anywhere. Those did not resolve the issue.
I turned the B tension screw a quarter turn anti-clock wise this morning (to make the chain wrap around the sprocket a bit more). This seemed to make the vibration a bit less, but I am not entirely sure this was for real or purely psychological. I need to test it a bit more.
Does anyone have any idea what could fix it?
