Get the new bike out the Shed nice day and all, turn my back for a minute come back and notice the rear mech out of alignment. I just couldnt understand how this could be it was fine the other day. I had to re-index it as it was massively out jumping across two sprockets !.

Done that and then check the front and the cable slipped through the clamp WTF !!??. Only got it out to give it a polish. All done now clamp up tight but I've got a feeling my 2 year old daughter had a throughly good turn of the rear barrel adjuster when I went inside to get a cloth as for the front perhaps it was just loose ?

Any interogation techniques that people would recommend for a 2 year old.

Find her favourite Teddy and rip it's arms off.

In front of her.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
'I am fixing it daddy' - kids love tools.

LOL !

I had to physically stop my 3 year old from "helping " with the flymo .... i was imagining kiddie toes on the garden

Another time we had a burning coming from the conservatory heater and it turned out someone had put a cd in it that had burnt into a black mess that spewed black powder over the entire room ....

I like Skol

A Minging Manc...
Both my kids have had their moments at the fixing game. 1st son got bored while I was lay tinkering under my jeep so picked up the hammer and decided to 'fix' the passenger door of our 'sunday best' family car!!! Luckily no real strength or force behind the blows before I could stop him.

Similar situation with son number 2. Me under Jeep wrestling with a stubborn nut, I could hear son counting something..... 3, 4, 5.......9, 10, 14..... etc. I finally popped my head out to find all my neatly ordered 1/4" sockets in a heap on the driveway, all 40 odd of them!

You can't really be mad at them.

That's exactly what ours say, my son likes to turn his bike upside down and try and fix his wheels like daddy

Ooh careful now... a childhood friend of mine lost the tips of two fingers in the spokes of an upturned bike... I was there... not pleasant!

Yes that's very true my father in-law has permanent damage to 2 of his fingers due to getting them caught in an upturned bikes spokes whilst spinning.
