Straight comparison - your views

I am looking to buy a bike and have narrowed it down to these two. I have tried them in the local shop and have my preference, which is marginal, but would like to hear any thoughts or personal experience. Both are being offered at £300 so price is not an issue. Dawes Mojave vs Trek T30. What do you think?

Cheers, they both look very similar, which do you prefer, thats probably the way to go. Ive ridden the Trek a few times (or a similar model) it a sturdy bike chosen by hire bike companies. I note however the dawes has rapid fire shifter rather than the revo (grip) shifters on the Trek; so I think I'd choose the Dawes.

I'm going to ride both again this weekend, but my slight preference at the moment is the Dawes.
