Stone Chips and Frame Protection

I may be suffering from OCD on this one ... but thought I'd do something about it before it goes further; I do have an affinity for things mechanical but equally it won't stop me using things to the full - I shot down a dodgy back lane yesterday, which is verging on off road, as it's been hammered by the weather and the little white chips have appeared as a result:

ha - that's nothing.. cable rub on the one unprotected one... (the other 2 have sheilds on them, this one does not... that's the rear brake BTW.

fraid it is the end result of using the bike - though I might try to get hold of some touch up paint soon, just for you... OK? (assuming i can find some coffers in a drawer somewhere...)

I use a bit of pvc/electricians tape on my hybrid, cheap as anything else and comes in a vareity of colours.
