Been having shall we say loose movements now for about 48 hours. this accompanied with stomach cramp and headache. Suspect I may have a norovirus and I have been visiting my partner in hospital a lot recently which could explain it Just wondering if the symptoms have not started to clear tomorrow whether I should try to see a doctor on Monday?

I had similar recently...turned out I had campylobacter (diagnosed from *sample*)and needed antibiotics...nasty...noro comes with lots of vomiting usually and goes in 24-48 hours. Have you had any suspicious poultry lately (takeaway etc?). Keep well hydrated, paracetamol for the cramps, could try imodium too (all the recommendations I got)

If not better on Monday, see the doctor especially if passing any blood - I went to the quack after 4 days and then again 2 days later as got worse again xx(

Don't always get the antibiotics, but I was due to go on holiday 2 days later - ended up postponing anyhow as I got a nasty bout of acute laryngitis on top (nice double whammy for the antibiotics to kill)

Don't visit your partner in hospital until you are over it - the last thing you want to do is give it to them:sad:. Hope you are starting to feel better now.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Hope you get better soon !

My whole family is down the coughs and sniffles, no where near as bad but it means for the second week i will not be going on the club run .

Probably more like a run of the mill enterovirus infection. If there's no change in symtoms (either intensity, locus or duration) in three to four days, I'd recommend a GP vist. He/she will most likely send you home, advising you to take a couple of asprins and rest.

Family here just came out from the colds spell .... however, couldn't resist to go out on the bike couple of weeks ago and it was so good for clearing my nose and throat! It was the weekend of the fog, maybe that helped??
Milo, hope all goes well with the new baby !
