Stolen bike - eyes open please folks...

The poor bloke had his bike stolen over the weekend - just as he was about to sell it. He's a mate and riding buddy of mine and he's gutted - just in case you see this...help stop the scum.

IF its one of the local thieves itll be in bits by now and frame dumped or hidden in a attic somewhere.
IF its the recent visitors who not long ago moved on by the leisure centre in cannock local plod will take a peep no doubt.

Either way hope the owner gets it back and the barsteward that nicked it gets a good kicking before plod get them.

Not necessarily. A lot of high end bikes have been getting nicked in Sheffield and there was talk of them ending up in Blackpool. Sure enough a guy managed to track a couple of DH bikes for sale which were stolen a couple of days before, still built up and offered for silly money on a quick cash sale in Blackpool. Don't give up hope that it will be found.

If it is not in bits,and even though it's a stealth build,I would spot it a mile away.
The only reason I can see it being in bits is the scumbag knows exactly what they have in parts value.
Strange as it sounds,I hope it is an opportunist druggie who knows jag all about bikes.He would be so much easier for the Police to track down.ie - selling it local for a Score.

I really do hope the owner finds the bike and gets it back complete.

The reason I say IF it is the local thieves (there are a few well known ones who know what they are doing and arent oppurtunist) they know what they take and will strip parts off of stolen bikes, put them onto other frames and sell the bikes so that the bikes arent as recognisable.

But ill be keeping an eye out for both bike + recognisable parts on other bikes while out and about.

Thanks very much lads and lasses - worst thing is he's an MTB instructor so no bike=no work. There were people about to view it too the day after it was stolen, he's gutted as this was going to fund his next bike.
