I need some brilliant ideas, my boyfriend has birthday soon and I was thinking to give a lettering for his bike,
for example: "Hands off, that is my bike!" or "I am the king of the peloton" or blabla  the problem is I am bloody new to cycling and I do not know if one of these sentences really fit to this :S

If his bike is his pride and joy will he want a sticker on the frame?
I certainly wouldn't on any of mine. But that's me...

It's not wording, but I have a Moglo black skull on my Brompton. Sounds odd on such a sedate commuting bike, but I'm a 'mature' rock chick who still likes the look that comes with it. So I bought a packet of the Skull stickers and put one each side of my helmet and one on the top of the main frame in front of the Brompton logo. It's my style fightback against the hi-vis I wear.

The great thing is that even though they are black, they reflect white/pale grey under direct lights.

Unless he's said he wants a sticker for his bike, please don't do it!

He'll probably hate it, but not wanting to upset you he'll put it on the bike. The resentment will build slowly, but surely, in the end it'll ruin your relationship!

Either that or he'll find some excuse as to why he needs a new bike pretty soon.

Hubby has a slowly rusting Specialized mountain bike in the shed from 15 years ago when his son lived with us (who was, and still is, very into Mountain Biking). Said son is now married and lives close to the South Downs so is out in all weathers. They used to go out together on Hounslow Heath.

Despite the intervening years and the fact hubby is now 62 (I'm 40), he still has better balance on the Brompton than I do sometimes, though I am getting better over time.

We used to be a 2 car family - my Smart Car (black, with a reflective sticker with the name 'Morticia' on it) and hubby's company car. He was laid off in September and has since gone into business for himself and the Smart Car is the only car. It very handily fits a Brompton in the back, so is a great combination for longer journeys.

This idea came from himself, I am sure he likes it, but my problem was more what to put and not if it is necessary.
And such a little thing, would never destroy a relationship, I do not know what kind of relations you had O.o

Victory Circle Graphx in the US will do name stickers - they also ship fast ! I've used them and they are very good.

Linky thingy Here !

Ebay - good source - some funny 'anti theft' stickers with a stick man and a hammer chasing said stick thief !

You could go to the local signwriters and ask the to create the text you want on face cut self adhesive vinyl sheet. It's the stuff that is used to signwright vans etc.

They will usually have a range of colours and effects.

It's easy to apply AND remove yourself.

Good luck,

I got some stickers from them a couple of years ago - just my surname in white letters on a black background with a White Ensign at one end (I'm in the Navy). Very impressed with the quality.

These, in fact!

My hubby does kite boarding and enjoys nothing more than customizing his board with Trampa and Ozone stickers.

Maybe consider some brand name that you know he goes gaga for  .

Good luck.
