STi cables are a pain in the ...

you would think it would be easy to get a replacement set of STi brake and gear cables wouldn't you.
Nobody seems to stock white just black and silver . Same as all electrical goods really

Quick search on the net revealed no cable sets so I thought I'd go to my local bike shop. All they have there was 1x dusty Dura Ace brake cable set and 1x odd 105 gear set , looked like they had been hanging there for 5 years

Guess I'm going to have to buy some cheap black outer off the reel and make some myself.

cheers Dave but its not a proper proprietary Shimano set its just a made up set at Dura Ace prices.
I have to say though its very enterprising of the seller.

I'm basically going to do the same thing tomorrow and buy some outer at a lbs and make my own cable set

I wasn't asking for help locating cables . I was just commenting on how difficult a simple task can be sometimes ...

If you've two bikes to do, you could get two sets and shuffle them to get stripy cables - eg red & white for the Man U fans.
