Sadly one of my stem bolts actually snapped in half today, so i'm now in need of a new stem.

I currently have a planet x 110mm 6 degree stem.

When seated on the saddle and on the hoods my arms are locked straight and the bars are in alignment with my wheel hubs.

I occasionally get some pain in my shoulders, could this be due ti stem length/rise or does the above seem correct?

Front hub should be obscured by the bars, when you are on the hoods. Arms shouldn't be locked straight though... should have a bit of a bend in them, imho.

A snapped bolt doesn't mean you need a new stem. If the other have of that bolt is stuck in the stem, remove it, then just whack a fresh bolt in.

Not enough bolt showing in order to remove, plus I don't know what damage it could have done to integrity of the threads.
