Steel Frame Prices

I'm thinking of buying an off the peg steel frame.

I've seen a cro-mo Dedaccia tig welded frame and forks set for £175.

It doesn't look as classy as my 20 year old lugged steelie, but is obviously a lot more up to date.

Is this a good deal?

I understand Ribble use them.

what's wrong with the 20 year old beauty? I wouldn't bother buying a cheap new steel frame when there are so much better older frames out there available for less. That's what i did.

I agree with Jezston. Nowt wrong with the "old" steel frames, and you would not notice the difference when riding.
